Children's Ministries

Sunday School Ministry
On Sundays we begin in worship with our families and are guided by teachers to our classes in the educational wing during service.  Children up to 3 years go to the nursery and Pre-K through 6th Grade enjoy rotations of different activities.  At 10:30am children gather in a large group to sing and have fellowship with each other and their families.

With the belief that the children are not the future of the church but the present, our vision is to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to be the hands and feet of Jesus.  We engage the children to learn together and share their faith. Like the parents the children are renewed spiritually, and connect to God and other in the church and around the world.  We explore stories, parables and teachings of the bible by learning how to apply them to our lives. Through the help of the parents we “impact the hearts of the children” and influence them positively as it is reinforced at home. We are deliberate and intentional in our strategies and so we connect with parents to provide us with the best possible tools for engagement. We make time to pray together and have fun as we serve others.

We also encourage the 4th through 6th grades to meet on Wednesday night as we explore our talents and abilities in becoming a vital working part of the body of Christ. At such meeting, we engage deeper and pray together. We create projects and develop creative skills that serve God in the church.

From time to time, we celebrate with our parents in service during events like the Christmas Pageant and Children’s Sabbath. We also perform and sing with them as we share the wonderful stories of Jesus from our child-like understanding.

As a part of the FUMC mission we create and build Christian community through our invitation of others to events like our Vacation Bible School, as we create active discipleship as the hands and feet of Jesus.

We take our role as the hands and feet of Jesus very seriously and therefore show his love to all. “The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” (Rev 22:17)
